Talk about a dream with this Joshua Tree sunset engagement session.

Sara & Kyle were such a blast to photograph - they're total naturals in front of the camera and Sara is actually one of my friends who I've worked with multiple times!

Sara is the owner of @pacificorganicpops, an organic popsicle shop (that offers popsicle carts for events) based in Los Alamitos that brings the most yummy popsicles to parties, weddings, & any kind of special occasion. (Want to see their cart in action? Click here to see a fun Halloween photoshoot we worked on together last year!)

We did their engagement session at one of my favorite places, Joshua Tree National Park, and used @theharriethouse_joshuatree for a few of their photos. The Harriet House is a super cute AirBnb out in the desert that made for the perfect setting for some more intimate lifestyle-type engagement photos. We were joined by another one of my friends & a fellow talented vendor I work with often, @michellerogers_styling, who styled a hella sweet proposal I photographed recently. Click here to check out the emotional photos & the beautiful setup Michelle created. Sara, Kyle, Michelle and I all decided to stay the night at the Harriet House and had good drinks & yummy food after we finished the engagement session. Love when I get to photograph good friends :)

I wanted to talk about Sara & Kyle's relationship story, but I couldn't figure out how to - so I messaged Sara and this is the sweet story she told me about how they met:

"Kyle spilled his beer on me 10 years ago at a baseball game. He was playing corn hole, and his friend threw it too far. He tried to catch it and ended up spilling on me. I was with a guy friend at the time, totally platonic. Kyle was such a gentleman and apologized and offered to buy me and my boyfriend a drink. I said thank you so much, but he’s not my boyfriend - but you can definitely buy me a drink! 🥰 10 years later madly in love and believe that everything happens for a reason."

How cute is that?

And in case you're inspired by Sara's gorgeous outfit choices like I am, her white dress is from Vici & the beige hat is from Lack of Color.
