I love love lifestyle newborn photos and this family in Los Angeles was so easy to photograph!
Lifestyle newborn photos are my favorite way to do newborn sessions. It adds a super personal and special touch to do them in your own home, versus inside my studio or outdoors. Those are both great options still if that's what you'd prefer, but I always recommend at least considering a lifestyle session instead! Especially if you've got lots of nice natural light in your home.
This newborn session in downtown Los Angeles was easy as can be. This family lives in the cutest modern, mid-century home downtown, which made it a piece of cake to photograph. Every room had natural light coming in through the windows, and the decorations (and plants!) created a gorgeous environment for photos.
These two are such natural parents - I could already tell just by our session. They're first time parents, except for their fur baby (featured in some photos below) 🙂 For their photos, mama wanted very minimalist posing, and was excited to use elements of their home in the photos. So we did just that - no heavy posing or anything that felt stiff. We just photographed them doing what they would normally do in their household and used elements around the home to show off their natural family environment! They have great taste in home style - how could we not have photographed in their home? ;)
Ella Jaymes Photography, another Orange County newborn photographer, assisted me during this session, which was super fun. COVID still sucks, so we made sure to wear masks the whole time. I'm ready to go back to normal sessions without worrying about the pandemic, what about you?
